License and Reputation

PlayFrank is owned by a company called MadMen Limited, which is also responsible for several other casino brands across Europe, including Romania and Denmark. 

In the UK, PlayFrank is operated by AG Communications Limited, a Malta-based arm of Aspire Global Limited. This is another well-known iGaming business, one that’s involved with at least 60 white label casino brands. 

The company possesses a remote Gambling Commission license (number: 000-039483-R-319409-001) under which PlayFrank operates in the UK.

The PlayFrank brand has been around for over a decade, earning a positive reputation. In addition to paying out in a timely manner, the site offers several tools to help players gamble responsibly.

Immediately upon creating your account, you’re asked to configure a reality check pop-up, plus a daily, weekly or monthly deposit limit. You may also take a time out of anywhere from 24 hours to six weeks, or even self-exclude.

Website

There’s a lot to like about the PlayFrank casino site. First of all, it looks lovely, with a fresh and light colour scheme. The layout, which is really easy to find your way around, is free from ugly banners and gaudy animations.

Whether you’re using a mobile device or the desktop version, the website is broadly similar, making for seamless switching between the two. Android and iOS users can also download a native app, which is just as easy to use and whose aesthetic is equally nice.

There are a number of small but noticeable touches that we really like. For instance, the classic horizontal navigation bar in the lobby features a tab marked “Vendors”. Click this to see a list of every developer featured in the lobby, plus the total number of games.

Games

Stocked with over 3,400 games, PlayFrank offers one of the biggest casino libraries in the UK. However, almost all of these are slots.

Among the site’s other products, there is a small live dealer casino, three video bingo titles and a few crash games. Speed Crash by Hacksaw Gaming is our favourite, though Spribe’s Aviator is also present.

There are no RNG table games to speak of, and you won’t find any number-based games, like keno or bingo.

The collection of slots at PlayFrank is exemplary. There are 3,389 titles, with pretty much everything you could possibly think of in the mix.

More than 40 providers supply their wares, including some industry behemoths like NetEnt, IGT and Pragmatic Play. This makes for an extremely diverse and high quality library.

Most of the obvious fan favourites are present. The menu features links to 28 Irish slots, for example, and 47 different jackpot games. These include Blueprint Gaming’s popular Jackpot King series, but sadly none of the Mega Moolah games.

There are 330 Play’n GO slots, including many of the Rich Wilde series. Naturally, Book Of Dead is there, along with the likes of Amulet Of Dead and four Cat Wilde spin-offs, such as Pyramids of Dead.

Live Dealer

Although there is a live casino at PlayFrank, it’s not very big. The games are of the best possible quality, as they’re supplied by Evolution. It’s just that there’s only 14.

Half of these are game shows, such as Crazy Time, Mega Ball and Monopoly, while the remainder are table games. However, for some reason, the classics are all missing. 

Instead of live blackjack, roulette and baccarat games, options include Three Card Poker, Caribbean Stud and Teen Patti.

Bonuses

Perhaps the weakest area of an otherwise fantastic casino, there aren’t many bonuses and promotions at PlayFrank. Still, the welcome offer is competitive, plus there’s a loyalty program for regulars.

Sign-Up Deal

Straight after registration, you’re asked about opting into the PlayFrank casino welcome offer. If you want to, there’s a straightforward deposit match bonus of 100% up to £100, plus 50 free spins on Starburst. 

This stacks up fairly well against other UK casinos. Casumo, for example, offers an identical sign-up bonus, while Pub Casino just runs with the 100% up to £100 part. 

You can definitely find bigger bonuses, like the 50% up to £250 at 10bet casino. But you’ll also see many sites that offer far worse.

Terms and Conditions 

The terms of this promotion are pretty standard. For instance, bonus winnings must be wagered 35x before cashing out, and the free spins are only valid for 24 hours.

You must deposit at least £20 to qualify, which is a little more than some casinos, but not exactly unreasonable. Deposits made by ewallets like Skrill and Neteller will not qualify.

Daily Spin Frenzy

There are no reload bonuses at PlayFrank, but regular slots players will earn daily rewards for playing regularly.

Summary

It was pleasantly surprising to see how far PlayFrank has come since its launch back in 2014. The slots library is absolutely huge, for one, but there’s a lot more to it than that. 

Both the website and the mobile apps have a clean, modern look and feel, and they run like a dream. In addition, the cashier is packed with secure and convenient options, including the very latest open banking fintech. 

Although we’d appreciate a few more ongoing promotions for the regulars, we can’t be too greedy, as this is an excellent all-round casino.
